I am excited to introduce myself as the Square Barn PTA President for the 2026-2027 school year! For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving as PTA Secretary, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
Before becoming a stay at home mom, I taught for many years. When my youngest child was born I made the decision to stay home with my children. This year is an exciting one for my family - my oldest is starting middle school, and my youngest will be attending Conley.
You can often find me volunteering at both schools, and I am honored to continue serving our school community in this new role. As PTA president, I look forward to supporting our parents, staff, and students in new and meaningful ways while helping strengthen the connections that make our school community so special.
I’d love to hear from you: SquareBarnPTA@gmail.com

Hello! My name is Kristin Johnson and I am excited to be joining the Square Barn PTA. My family and I moved to Huntley two years ago and I have a son at Mackeben! Last year, I enjoyed attending PTA meetings to share ideas and volunteer. I am looking forward to another great year of planning fun events that support the students and the staff.

I’m excited to join the Square Barn PTA this year as treasurer. This is my first year serving on the board, and I look forward to supporting our students, teachers, and school community. Over the years, I have enjoyed volunteering and participating in school events and I am grateful for the opportunity to be more involved through the PTA. My husband and I have two children who will be entering 2nd and 4th grade this year. I’m excited for the wonderful school year ahead!

I originally joined the Square Barn PTA in 2024 when my oldest started Kindergarten and am so excited to now serve as Secretary! This year is especially exciting because both of my kids will be at Mackeben—with my oldest heading into second grade, and my youngest starting kindergarten. Outside of being a Mom and the PTA, I work in Sales Support for a Food Distribution Company and support Advocate Children’s Hospital as a CPST (Car Seat Technician). I'm passionate about building a strong sense of community within our schools, supporting the amazing teachers & staff who give so much to our children every day, and creating fun opportunities for students and families to connect and get involved. I can't wait to meet more of you at school events or PTA meetings! If you ever have ideas or suggestions I'd love to connect. Here's to a wonderful school year together!

I’m a working mom of two boys; my oldest is starting middle school this year and my youngest is a 3rd grader at Conley. From remote kindergarten during Covid, all the way to today, I’ve been involved with the PTA in some form or another. You will sometimes see me at school in my role as a parent volunteer, sometimes as a para educator, and sometimes as a substitute teacher. I love supporting the students and staff in any of these roles, but being a PTA member is my favorite role! It’s my goal to foster a strong and healthy school community for our families, and to bring positivity, improvement, and fun to campus through teamwork and communication! Something you want to share? I have visited over 40 countries where I enjoy taking photos of street art and eating local food. I design and crochet improbably cute (and occasionally slightly cursed) amigurami creations, and I also teach puppy classes. My son Finn is in 1st grade at Mackeben, and he is as adventurous and fearless as his mama, and he is already quite the globetrotter.
